Welcome to Château Masburel. We are situated in the South West of France, 80 km to the east of Bordeaux, on the river Dordogne near to the charming town of Ste Foy la Grande. Chateau Masburel was founded in
by Jean de Sembellie, Consul to King Louis XV of France.
The property consists of 33 hectares (82 acres), of which 23 hectares (58 acres) are planted to vine. Red and white wines are produced to a standard that compares with the very finest French wines.

After a 40-year career at the helm of a multinational company founded by his father, Vic Pauwels decided to trade the world of electrical transformers for a new life making quality red wines to suit all budgets. In doing so he fulfilled a long-held dream, and built a new chai (winery) which is among the most modern in the Lot region.
